The Storm Lake area KCs are hosting a spaghetti supper to benefit persons with intellectual disabilities in the parish center. They will serve spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, breadsticks and dessert for a free will offering.

Mary's Choice Giving Hope Fundraising Banquet will be held on Oct. 13 at Country Celebrations in Sioux City. Keynote speaker for the event is Josiah Presley who was almost aborted. The evening begins with social hour at 5 p.m. with the dinner and program at 6 p.m., followed by speaker at 7 p.m. Tickets are $75.

Sioux City Mater Dei Parish is hosting a Breakfast Burrito Fundraiser in conjunction with the Knights of Columbus Council #5660 on Oct. 25, after the 9 a.m. Mass at Nativity Church (4241 Natalia Way) and 10:30 a.m. Mass at Immaculate Conception Church (1212 Morningside Ave). A free will donation will be taken for the FIRE Foundation of Northwest Iowa.

Mater Dei Parish of Sioux City will be hosting an Early Access Event for The Chosen's Season 6, Episode 1, by Come and See. The Early Access Event will be held Sunday, October 25, at 1 p.m. at Nativity Church. It is open to the public. Stay tuned for more details.

Timothy Schreiber has been an AGO member since about 2015. He has a degree in organ from the University of Kansas (Dr. Michael Bauer), and is currently the Director of Traditional Worship at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, La Vista. Timothy has previously served as Sub-Dean of the Nebraska AGO, and Interim Dean (Omaha Chapter), and as a member of the Merger Committee. The concerts is free and open to the public.

Young men in high school through college who are interested in learning more about the priesthood are invited to attend Thinking of Priesthood Day. The gathering will be held on Nov.7 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Ames. Sponsored by the Office of Vocations for the Diocese of Sioux City, this is an informal discernment day and is a great way to spend time with peers who are also thinking about their vocation.

In honor of the veterans, Catholic Daughters of the Americas in Milford is hosting its 14th annual Free Veterans Soup Supper on Nov. 7. Doors open and social time begins at 5 p.m. with soup supper, program and drawings at 5:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Parish Center in Milford.
