Sister Elizabeth Huber, BVM, is celebrating her 70th jubilee with the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary based in Dubuque. She entered the convent Sept. 8, 1955 from St. Boniface Parish in Sioux City.
She attended Cathedral elementary and high schools, Bishop Heelan High School and Briar Cliff University, all in Sioux City.
Sister made her first vows Feb. 3, 1958 and final vows July 16, 1963.
Sister Elizabeth was a college instructor at Clarke University, Dubuque, and Briar Cliff College in Sioux City. She served as a secondary teacher at Bishop Heelan High School; Our Lady of Peace in St Paul and Ryan High School in Omaha. She also was a teacher for the Guadalupe Area Project in West Saint Paul, Minnesota and the Art & Spirituality City Academy in Mendota Heights, Minnesota.
