Mater Dei Parish in Sioux City will host a one-day women’s retreat titled “Remain in Me” on April 18. This retreat invites women of all ages into a deeper encounter with Jesus Christ through Scripture, prayer, and reflection.
Centered on the call to abide in Christ (John 15:4–5), the retreat will explore how God meets us personally, invites us into rest, reorders our hearts, and teaches us to live a fruitful life rooted in prayer.
The day will feature four dynamic talks, including reflections on:
Being seen and known by God through the story of the woman at the well and Hagar
Resting in the presence of Christ through the example of Martha and Mary
Reordering our hearts toward heaven and lasting fulfillment
Living a daily life of prayer and abiding in Christ
Speakers include:
Draw Near’s Kara Kardell;
Holy Apostles Parish Family Evangelization Coordinator, Ellie Dutcher; and
Barb Wegner, Holy Apostles Parish Family parishioner and Culinary Pathway Teacher, UMÓⁿHOⁿ NATION Public School, Macy, Nebraska.
The retreat will also include eucharistic adoration, small group discussion, and personal reflection time.
The women’s retreat runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 1212 Morningside Avenue in Sioux City.
All women seeking renewal, encouragement, and a deeper relationship with Christ are invited to attend. Tickets are $20 each; $10 for girls under the age of 16 attending with their mother. Registration fee includes a light breakfast.
