The Knights of Columbus Council 6249 recently made a charitable donation to Trivium Life Services (formerly Crossroads of Western Iowa) in Onawa to help support their projects.
The funding for the donation comes from the generous parishioners at Blencoe St. Bernard, Onawa St. John and Salix St. Joseph through the Knights’ Campaign forPersons with Intellectual Disabilities (C.P.I.D.).
This fundraiser, chaired by Knight Franklin Heisterkamp and formerly known as the Tootsie Roll Drive, is an annual effort by the Knights to benefit organizations working with mentally challenged individuals. In addition to Trivium, the Knights donate a percentage to the Iowa Special Olympics.
According to Trivium Marketing Director Lora Jensen, “When three organizations —Crossroads of Western Iowa, Recovery 4 Life, and A New Path — merged in the summer of 2021, we expanded our mission, increased our resources, and strengthened our services...especially in the area of mental health. As our new vision took shape, the new organization became Trivium Life Services.”
Trivium is a non-profit organization committed to behavioral health, mental health, and long-term support services; serving those who are seeking help but haven’t yet had their needs met.
“Our holistic approach treats the whole person, not just the symptoms. Whether you are seeking supported community living, outpatient services, or weekly counseling sessions, the dedicated Trivium staff will help you reach your goals,” said Jensen.
Ultimately, the mission of Trivium Life Services is to create hope, empower lives and inspire communities. All are welcome to come meet staff members at 301 10th Street in Onawa or visit www.TriviumLifeServices.org.
