Kecks of Fort Dodge celebrate 65th anniversary

Dennis and Carol Keck of Fort Dodge will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Sept. 10. Cards may be sent to them at: 2532 N. 15th Pl. Fort Dodge, IA 50501. 

Their family includes Tom and Sandy Keck, of Omaha, Nebraska, Bob and Brenda Keck of Adel, Mary Oberg of Fort Dodge and Amy and Heath Mckeehan of Omaha, Nebraska. They have nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Carol Deluhery and Dennis Keck were married on Sept. 10, 1960, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fort Dodge. 

Dennis is a retired educator who taught science at North Junior High, later known as Phillips Middle School. He still enjoys hearing from his former students from time to time. Dennis still deeply cares about educating the youth, still volunteering in the classroom where he shares his passion for science, particularly rocks and fossils. 

Carol did her nurse's training in Sioux City and Fort Dodge where she later retired from Trinity Regional Hospital after many years and many nights on call in the surgical department
