The race is on! The Friends of Gehlen Catholic Ball is set to take place on Saturday, March 29, and the online auction is officially open for bids atbidpal.net/gehlenball.
The online auction kicked off March 24, allowing the community to preview a fantastic lineup of auction items, complete with descriptions and photos. Bids are being accepted until March 29, at 7:30 p.m.
“We always enjoy the online auction component!” said Development Director Amy Jungers. “It’s a great way to extend our reach to guests beyond Le Mars, so whether you’re local or out of town, you can get in on the action.”
This year’s auction features more than 120 items.
“From quick vacation getaways to exclusive Jays gear, tee times, luxurious pampering packages, and classrooms products, we have something for everyone at this Derby-themed event,” added Jungers.
For those attending the in-person event, the action doesn't stop with the online auction. A live auction and Fund-A-Cause campaign will also take place on the night of the ball.
“The live auction elevates the energy at the event, and it is fun to be a part of,” Jungers shared. “This year’s live auction features some unique experiences, including the chance to Name the Gym, a Private Plane Ride, a Gehlen Catholic Football Kid Captain, and a Trip to Tahoe just to name a few!”
This year’s Fund-A-Cause will focus on raising money to help put the finishing touches on the school’s gymnasium renovation, scheduled for completion in the summer of 2025 To get in on the bidding fun, and for more information about the silent and live auction items or the Fund-A-Cause campaign, visit bidpal.net/gehlenball.
