UPDATED 6/13/25 - Several of the parishes and churches in the Diocese of Sioux City along the route of the 2025 RAGBRAI bike ride across Iowa are planning events and meals for the anticipated guests in their communities.
The event kicks off in Orange City July 19 with riders taking off the morning of July 20, headed to Milford for an overnight stay. There’s a short trek through southern Minnesota before riders land in Estherville for the second overnight stay.
Riders will also be traveling through several other communities in the diocese before trekking through the Archdiocese of Dubuque. July 19 - 5 p.m. Mass at St. Mary Church in Alton. The Knights will sponsor a free will donation spaghetti supper at the St. Mary Parish Center immediately following Mass.
July 19 – 6:30 p.m. Mass St. Anthony Church in Primghar
July 20 - 8 a.m. Mass at St. Joseph Church in Granville. There will be a cereal and milk bar in the St. Joseph Parish Center immediately following Mass.
July 20 - 9:30 a.m. Mass at St. Joseph Church in Hartley
July 20 – 4-8 p.m. Milford St. Joseph spaghetti supper in the parish center. Cost is $12 per person for homemade spaghetti, dessert bar and beverage. The parish plans to serve 1,000 or until the supplies run out.
July 20 – Milford St. Joseph Church plans to host 500 RAGBRAI campers on the ballfield, 80 in the church basement and 100 on the parish front lawn.
July 21 – Milford St. Joseph Church approximately 5-8 a.m. omelet breakfast with freshly baked cinnamon rolls and beverage will be served for $12 per person in the parish center. The parish plans to serve 500 riders.
July 21 - 4-7 p.m. the Estherville Knights of Columbus will be serving a spaghetti dinner at the Duhigg Center.
July 21 - 5 p.m. Mass at Estherville St. Patrick Church.
July 22 – tours of St. John the Baptist Church in Bancroft. Pie slices for sale in the air conditioned church basement. Proceeds will be used towards a new organ for the church.
