Deacons make pilgrimage to the grotto

The permanent deacons of the Diocese of Sioux City made a pilgrimage to the Shrine of the Grotto of the Redemption in West Bend last weekend. Msgr. Ed Girres, rector of the shrine, led the pilgrimage for the deacons and their wives. The grotto is one of the four Jubilee Year of Hope pilgrimage sites designated for the Diocese of Sioux City. (Learn more.)

Bishop John Keehner then celebrated Mass at Sts. Peter and Paul in West Bend with Msgr. Girres and Father Merle Kollasch concelebrating. The group then enjoyed a meal and fellowship in the parish hall.
