Camino de San Lorenzo offered local opportunity

Deacon David La Mar of Ascension Parish of Boone County and his friend Deacon Tom Bradley of the Des Moines Diocese led a three-day Camino de San Lorenzo in Central Iowa last weekend. About 65 registered to walk ​one, two or all three days.

Deacon ​La Mar led morning prayer each day. ​Mass was offered each day of the event. 
 
The Camino de San Lorenzo Pilgrimage began May 30 in Perry and ended June 1 in Ankeny, passing through scenic areas in the Sioux City Diocese including the High Trestle Bridge and in the town of Madrid.The pilgrims on Day 3 of the Central Iowa camino.
