“On behalf of the faithful of the Diocese of Sioux City, I would like to offer our condolences and prayers for all who were killed and wounded in action in Syria Saturday and for the families of our Iowa National Guard members who were killed and wounded while serving our country. We also offer our prayers for their communities and fellow service members. We are most grateful for their selfless service. Let us all pray for an end to violence both overseas and in the United States.
We also offer our prayers for the victims of violence at churches, schools, universities and public venues in our country and around the world.”
