Bishop releases statement on Minnesota Catholic school shooting

(Bilingual) Bishop John E. Keehner of the Diocese of Sioux City released the following bilingual statement regarding the shooting at a school in neighboring Minnesota earlier this morning:

“Our hearts are heavy upon learning of another event of school violence this morning.  We offer our prayers to those affected by the tragic shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. As we begin a new school year, let us pray for the safety of our children and school faculty and staff around the nation.”

“Nos entristece profundamente la noticia de otro caso de violencia escolar ocurrido esta mañana. Ofrecemos nuestras oraciones a los afectados por el trágico tiroteo en la Escuela Católica de la Anunciación en Minneapolis. Al comenzar un nuevo año escolar, oremos por la seguridad de nuestros niños, maestros y personal escolar en todo el país.”
