Join us for Human Trafficking: It's Real, featuring special guest speaker Sister Shirley Fineran, Founder and President of Lila Mae’s House and BCU Social Work Professor Emerita. This educational presentation invites healthcare professionals to strengthen their ability to recognize and respond to human trafficking in clinical and therapeutic settings. Participants will gain practical tools to identify trafficking indicators, apply trauma-informed care, and collaborate effectively to support patient safety and continuity of care. Held in the St. Francis Center.
The annual Achieving Cultural Awareness in Health Care conference strives to reduce health disparities by educating Siouxland students and health care professionals about the importance of providing evidence-based care to individuals, groups, and populations who come from culturally diverse backgrounds.
