The FIRE Foundation of Northwest Iowa is inviting the community to save the date for its annual fall fundraiser. The 5th Annual Fire and Flights Event will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 10 at Marto Brewing Co. in downtown Sioux City with beverages and some light bites. A message from the FIRE Foundation will be presented at 5:30 p.m. Dr. Ryan Allen, president of the FIRE Foundation board, said this event will help the organization work to achieve its goal to bring inclusive education to the area’s Catholic schools.

Approximately 1,000 people from Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota packed the Sioux City Mater Dei Parish/Nativity Church last night for A Night of Healing with Ge'La. The event was held entirely in Spanish.
