When Erin-Jane Stevens and Kayla Venner were teaching together at Kuemper Catholic School in Carroll, they had the idea to write a prayer book for ages five to nine. Their idea is now a reality in the form of Growing in Grace: A Children's Prayer Book. The back cover describes the book as one that "beautifully portrays virtues through relatable childhood events. It intertwines everyday experiences like friendship, kindness and curiosity with heartfelt prayers, nurturing a child's spiritual growth with each turn of the page."

On April 1, 2025, Iowa Catholic Radio took a historic step with the launch of the NEW KIHS 105.5 FM, licensed to Perry, IA. Broadcasting at 10,000-watts (directional), the NEW KIHS replaces AM 1150 KDLX (formerly KWKY), and its companion 94.5 FM Translator (K233BT), both licensed to Des Moines.

MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center and the Iowa Donor Network are joining forces to inspire Iowans to donate life during National Donate Life Month this April. On April 9, at 1 p.m., a flag-raising and press conference will be held in the MercyOne Professional Office Building lobby, located at Fifth and Jackson Streets in Sioux City. Parking is available on the street or the MercyOne ramp. All are welcome.
